"We can’t help admiring the fact that this motorcycle impressed so much both general public and specialists. Europeans showed big interest in it, and foreign mass media gave the bike good references and reviews.

That’s why here we’d like to expand on some issues we were asked about. The first one is, “How did it start?”

The start was made by a friend of ours Vlad Sazonov, when he came out with a proposal to “do something of a kind” with an old good Ducati Monster S4 made in the year 2000. At that, the customer wanted it to look like a low-rider or even some kind of chopper, necessarily black-colored and decorated with skulls.
The original idea was corrected a bit during the process of its implementation. Frankly speaking, there was little left from the customer’s idea, as well as from the donor motorcycle – the engine, gear box and some minorities. But as a result the customer received a unique white (but none of goody-goody) machine named DUster (combination of Ducati and Monster), which has really made a dust"

 … proclaimed DUster, and Italians iked it so much – "Best of Show at Verona Moto Bike Expo". So, there's nothing to do but be prepared for travelling to Sturgis…

… was staying in the workshop for no reason since summer. During those several months Shif, passing by now and then, would dismantle or chop off the motorcycle unnecessary, in his opinion, parts. When time came to return the motorcycle back to its owner, found parts were installed back -- you bet some were lost. Several letters of the name got lost, too. The remnants made DUster, no more. Surprisingly, Germans liked it – the bike won "Best Streetfighter at Custombike 2009"

The answer to this question can only give the owner of the motorcycle - Vladimir Kristovskiy.

The customer thought out the bike style and name, and determined its overall motives of a desert.

We gave free play to our imagination after the customer expressed his will to have this pirate of a bike. We spent a couple of months on Tortuga Isle amid filibusters and corsairs sharpening cutlasses and daggers, making bends of anchor chains, fighting and raking in coins, drinking Barbados rum and roaring out something about fifteen men and a dead man’s chest.

This is the first trike we made on the Road King basis. Its deep-space paintwork determined the name choice. Besides, we've already had Episode 1.

It’s been more than 5 years since I made up my mind to build this tribute motorcycle to the eminent musician of the 80s. It was even before I started the Time Machine tribute. I was putting off the realization due to reasons of all kinds, first of them because it was necessary to penetrate deep into Tsoy’s world and his art to create that very appearance of a bike. Tsoy was a real light person, and that’s why I decided the bike paintwork to be so much his favorite yellow.
Those who are well acquainted with his creative world will find quite a lot of familiar images: the sunlight crown, replicas of his paintings on the front and rear fenders, the outline of Leningrad at white night, the inscription type on the fuel tank. And the portrait: a reproduction of the characteristic and, in my opinion, best photograph of Viktor Tsoy (by Yuri Chashkin). There’s no doubt that the motorcycle came out questionable, even challenging to some extent, but it cannot be different. I’m confident that evaluations of the bike will be contrary, diametrically opposite.
But my view on that person is just like that.
I believe I can afford it.

Our workshop celebrates the end of difficult 2008 with this “frostbite” custom. Of course, the world crisis strongly influenced both on the color choice and the name.

Here we’d like to present another product of cooperation between our workshop and Minsk Motorcycle and Bicycle Plant (JSC Motovelo). There was a will of Alexander Muravyov, the Chairman of ATEC Holding GmbH which now is the owner of JSC Motovelo, to get a prototype of the 500-cubic motorcycle. The prototype was meant to expand a new model range of the plant by natural development of the model M4 200 “Neo Classic”.
The customer chose a Chinese ex-Cagiva 498 ccm engine as the power unit of the motorcycle. Besides, a list of components to be used for production was set (front and rear brakes, fork, etc.).
The customer requirements in terms of the model design were to preserve classical appearance along with accumulating of the best design solutions from several most popular motorcycles: Honda GB500 Clubman, Triumph Thruxton and Norton Commando. The order was ready in four months after the businessman and the customizer shook hands on it.
As a result there came out a representative of its segment bearing all the best traditional valued features.
It’s no use to look for revolutionary solutions in the construction of М500, because the main task was to adapt it as much as possible to the existing production facilities at the plant of JSC Motovelo.
Two of the created prototypes slightly vary by kitting – that was made with a purpose to examine possibilities of applying components and units from different manufacturers.
We do hope that modern engineering on the one hand and applying of simple and reliable components on the other hand will contribute to future broad popularity of the motorcycle.

This is not a mistake in “dynamite”. So we named our latest DYNA custom, painted in black mat. Russian version of the name sounds funny also.

    … images of two bikes, developed under the order of “MOTOVELO” company from Minsk, appeared in the Gallery. "Neo Classik" is realized in worldwide popular now “new classic” style. Its typical design associates with the legendary British bikes of the 60-es. In the same time it is very recognizable as “soviet classics” – very famous and popular among several generations “Minsk” bike, produced in hundreds of thousands during the second half of the previous century. But “Neo Classic” is fundamentally new bike. A lot of modifications were made in the most of units and parts, also in the chassis, what considerably improved the riding quality. The first 100 bikes are already assembled at the “MOTOVELO” factory. "Streetfighter " is the prototype of light motorcycle for young bikers. The future of this project is not determined yet. Both bikes equipped with ex-HONDA 4-stroke engines 125 and 200 cc.

That SUZUKI is one of a few “Japanese” touched by “Yuri Shif hand”. We’ve tried to lighten this bike with some racing look. It became the 27th custom performed in our workshop, and we didn’t puzzling over its name.

The project continues a series of "budget" custom bikes – it means HD stock power unit and frame with minor modifications, and that allows us to concentrate on rigging, styling and decoration. As a result, the customizing budget of such motorcycles doesn't exceed USD 15-20 thousand.

One more project from our workshop. Custom-painting by the customer's request demanded from the workshop specialists more than three months of hard work. However, that's worth of it!  

To switch on the ignition was passed to the rightful owner in the evening of July 13 at Black Star Club witnessed by numerous friends and guests of Timati and reporters. More than all superior degrees of adjectives in favor of the customer's satisfaction were saying his sparkling eyes, brighter than photoflashes and camera projectors. And now we are waiting for expert evaluations by motor-critics and results of photographing.

... this is a name of our new project coming up to its finishing stage of work. Regardless this motorcycle is in fact an elaboration of Silver Stork, we have significantly changed its design by the customer's request – Timur Yunusov, aka Timati. Not so long ago he paid a visit to the workshop to make a final agreement on the design and paintwork.
   We managed to satisfy all desires of the customer, starting from the color – deep black matt (we painted with it even the engine and carburetor), and up to the graphics which very accurately outlines the motorcycle silhouette. Presentation of our work to the customer is planned for July 13, Sunday at the terrace of a new Timati's club La Terrasse in Moscow.

The customer wanted a motorcycle devoted to a legendary Russian pilot Valery Chkalov. As a result there came out this old school custom bike, which was inspired by ANT-25 airplane – the plane navigated by Chkalov during his famous flight from Moscow to Vancouver. The workshop is quite experienced in building tribute bikes - Time Machine is an example. We like the very process of creating so to say "portrait" or "personalized" custom bikes. While "Chkalov" is gliding streets of Moscow, we anticipate another interesting order like, for instance, "Viktor Tsoy", "Marshal Zhukov" or "Gagarin".

Our motorcycles were going through different nominations. The chopper «Holey Boy» rated the second as "The Best V-Twin". "Time Mаchine" bike was awarded as "The Best Innovation Project" (the best engineering and design work) and the public choice as "The Best in the Show.

An international exhibition-festival "Moscow MIRAX Custom Show" will take place at the territory of the Olympic stadium Luzhniki in Moscow from 30.06 till 1.07. There will be presented about eighty excluive original motorcycles. The fest program includes competition of participants by different nominations, two-days' music program, charity auction and dance-show.
